Youngstown Idora Neighborhood Tilapia Farm Project
The Parkview Community Garden group seek your help (donations) to build a fish farm in the Idora Neighborhood. They say the farm will be a ‘neighborhood-sized’ recirculating aquaponics system with no ‘fishy’ water discharge. The group plans to use the system to raise and harvest nutritious tilapia as well as fresh produce year-round.
The system will be green from the get-go. They plan to outfit an existing large vacant garage structure directly across the street from a community garden with a solar thermal system to heat the water to a temperature prefered by tilapia, rain barrels, and sky lights for natural lighting.
Nestled in a park-like setting is this two bedroom condominium. Stratford Green offers you casual living with all the modern conveniences.
